Found a great community for meditation and fellowship after reading the book The Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda.
I first learned about the Eastern spiritual book from a westerner’s reference. Steve Jobs cited its influence:
I read the book only recently and found it revelatory. Being able to read books and meditate helps mitigate information overload and the perfunctory nonsense of the digital age. Happiness can be found through the service to others. It starts within, then your family, and then your world. Go where you are most needed.
“Rather than be always striving for personal happiness, try to make others happy. In being of spiritual, mental, and material service to others, you will find your own needs fulfilled. As you forget self in service to others, you will find that, without seeking it, your own cup of happiness will be full.”
