Sometimes, it’s good to write things down in order to stick with New Year’s resolutions. I find that a lifestyle which involves heavy travel can ruin one’s discipline.

A junk food diet is guaranteed to be on the menu wherever I go. Rice, pasta, bread, potato chips, sandwich meats and pastries take their toll. I would add excess coffee and processed Asian foods to this list. Most restaurants and delis let you pick your poison and limit the possibility of a plant-based diet.

I don’t drink soda, but I can’t skip the coffee. For every cup, I need to drink 3-4 cups of water to re-hydrate. Sometimes, I forget the H20.

Day-to-day survival becomes the goal once the grind takes over. I’m beginning 2017 knowing what I should not do. Just because I can, doesn’t mean I should.
