Tim Ferriss’ podcast with Jim Collins evokes an uneasiness about modern life, yet offers pathways to pivot towards purpose. Jim is 68. Tim is 48. It’s those in this bracket of middle age (& younger) that can still leave footprints in the sands of time in spite of lingering uncertainty.
I’ve posted some of the tools referenced such as ‘turning the flywheel’ and ‘lifelogging.’ At age 68, Jim still puts in over 1000 hours of creativity per year by writing books and doing research. Learning never ends for him. He still prioritizes the self in making decisions.
My decision-making has improved by putting Jim’s tools into practice. I’m still ticking and more relevant than ever.
