This must-read book is by the Commander of Seal Team 6 that took out Osama Bin Laden.

McRaven’s The Wisdom of the Bullfrog is about growing as a person and leading people in war. But the lessons are simple, and anyone can use them. Business leaders will get a lot out of his stories.
War looks very different now. McRaven wrote this book in Austin just as AI was taking off in San Francisco and his lessons come from the old way of fighting. Today, AI-led drones do much of the fighting. Companies grow huge with only a handful of people. Leaders spend less time managing people and more time figuring out how to use new technology.
With all that change, we need clear values more than ever. In his 2014 “Make Your Bed” speech, McRaven said small habits, like making your bed each morning, set you up for a good life. Austin-based podcaster Tim Ferriss was recently asked to describe young people today in one word. He said “adrift.” I agree. The avalanche of mind-bending technologies have contributed to this malaise. It feels like the grownups responsible for providing guardrails have left the room.
McRaven’s book gives readers something solid to hold onto when the world feels out of control.
