I lived in Tokyo many years ago. Interesting people roamed the streets, especially in areas like Hiroo and Azabu. I casually met Gillian Tett who was writing a book about my employer at that time. Shinsei Bank is not well known these days, but was a big story in Japan. I never made it into her book, but certainly experienced it while working on the ground floor.

Gillian has published another interesting book these days. Reading it now. It’s hard to imagine companies surviving without collaboration. The rise and fall of Sony is an interesting storyline. This is required reading if you live in the enterprise world, or want to solve enterprise problems.
