Agree with President Trump’s plan to increase apprenticeships…there is a huge skills deficit especially in the tech sector. America needs immigration now to offset this deficit. At some point, we won’t need immigration if American kids are brought up to speed.

The tech sector in India and China has an abundance of talent because tech skills elevate their youth out of poverty. Non-tech career options are limited. America has a shortage of hard skills, not soft skills. This is what makes every tech leader lose sleep at night.

The focus on apprenticeships will accelerate youth entrepreneurship, too.  This is why I support nonprofits like BUILD. The talent is already here. It needs to be cultivated.
