A Bipartisan Idea: High-speed Rail

High-speed rail is getting faster in Japan. One of the top things to do in Japan is watching a bullet train whiz by @200 mph (check out the video below at the 10 min mark). For several decades it’s been easy to live in rural Japan and commute to an urban center like Tokyo.

High-speed rail in Texas with similar trains is close to breaking ground. I’ve trekked all over Japan thanks to these trains. I believe America benefits from a bullet train network. The technology would be awe-inspiring to youth and provide easier access to educational opportunities. Jobs and housing would sprout wherever trains ran. Fast trains would help unlock urban-focused economies and connect societies.

Yes, I think Amtrak needs a significant upgrade.
