Apart from family and work, the narcissist in me thinks about food. I’ve lived in food meccas like the Bay Area, NYC, and Tokyo. Austin is tops for BBQ, TexMex, and Tacos. In my travels, I usually hunt for ethnic food, preferably Indian or Japanese.

The SF-Bay area has hundreds of Indian restaurants. Austin has about fifty. There are fewer than ten Indian restaurants in Austin that exceed the production quality in my family kitchen. 😆 Austin deserves better Indian food to match the growth of its population.
